Chevron NSBE Scholarship
Scholarship awards for the NSBE student organization members pursuing a major, minor, or graduate degree in any Computer, Information technology-related program, or Geography information systems. Scholarship application process is open to all students.
The scholarship is open to…
- Undergraduate – Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors
- Graduate – Classified
- Major – Computer, Information technology program or Geography information systems
- Minimum GPA – 3.3
- Financial need required – No
- Enrollment – Full time at time of award and at time of application
Freshman/Sophomores:
- Minimum of 1 membership in a technical society or extra-curricular activity (ex. Society of Women Engineers, Fraternity/Sorority, etc.)
- Minimum of 1 Energy related internship OR non-technical work experience preferred, but not required
Juniors/Seniors: - Minimum of 1 leadership role in a technical society or extra-curricular activity (ex. Society of Women Engineers, Fraternity/Sorority, etc.)
- Minimum of 1 technical internship related to field of study
- Graduating Seniors should have intentions to seek a graduate degree immediately following graduation
Masters/PHDs * Minimum of 1 technical internship related to field of stud preferred - Thesis/Dissertation must be on a topic that is related to energy industry
Recruitment: - Communication of recipients who have been selected based on the criteria above must be communicated to your Chevron Recruiting Team Leader by May 15th. Our recruiting team will begin engaging scholarship winners in late spring/early fall of each academic year. Recruiting Team Leaders will contact you regarding a formal award presentation when recipients can be recognized amongst their peers.
