Placer Alumni Chapter Scholarship

This scholarship is intended to support Sacramento State students who graduated from a high school in Placer County.

  • Minimum GPA: 3.7 for freshman and 3.4 for continuing undergraduates
  • Major: Any Major (Applicants must have graduated from a high school in Placer County.)
  • Class Level: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior
  • Enrollment: Full time at time of award (half time & full time as defined by current Sacramento State catalog)

Additional Criteria:
Essay Requirement: Applicants must provide a short essay (250 – 500 words) and share the following:

  • Degree and career goals;
  • Why they chose to attend Sacramento State;
  • Any hardships or obstacles they face in pursuit of their education at Sacramento State, and what they are doing to overcome those hardships.
  • Include name and city of high school attended in Placer County and include background and achievements, such as clubs, sports, hobbies, awards, employment, etc.
  • If applicant is an incoming freshman, submit copy of Placer County high school transcripts.
