Donald R. Wagner Scholarship

This scholarship award is intended to assist and encourage students studying at Sac State majoring in Business Administration who demonstrate the skills and personal attributes that made Mr. Wagner a highly successful business man. These skills include work ethic, confidence, practical intelligence, problem solving abilities and entrepreneurial mindset, which enabled Mr. Wagner to establish and grow a number of highly successful businesses in our region.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible to receive this scholarship:

*Major: Business Administration
*Concentration: Open to All Concentrations for students interested in entrepreneurship or starting a business
*Minimum GPA: 3.25
*Class Level: Junior, or Senior
*Financial Need: Not Required
*Enrollment: Enrolled Full-Time at Time of Award and at Time of Application
*Other: Preference will be given to Business Honors Students and/or those interested in entrepreneurship or starting a business.

  2. List the extracurricular activities you have been involved with at Sac State including participation in student organizations, business-related competitions, projects and conferences. If you are transferring to Sac State, please answer by referencing your activities at your previous institution.
  3. Please submit a short essay answer to the following: What do you hope to do with your business degree? How have your education, your extracurricular activities and your life experiences helped prepare your career?
  4. Please submit a short essay addressing: Leadership, Independence, resourcefulness, initiative, an entrepreneurial mindset, a problem-solving attitude, a broad but realistic vision, and a willingness to engage and deal with challenging situations such as difficult negotiations are all important qualities and skills in today's business world. Have any of your experiences in class, in extracurricular activities, or in life helped you develop one or more of these qualities? Explain briefly.
