Rod Swanson Scholarship in Economics

The Rod Swanson Scholarship in Economics is awarded to students majoring in Economics.

The scholarship is open to:

  • Undergraduate Juniors and Seniors.
  • Major Economic
  • Minimum GPA 3.3 CSUS Overall GPA, plus a GPA of 3.5 or better in upper division Economic Courses.
  • Student must have completed at least 15 units at Sacramento State, with nine upper-division units in Economics.
    *Student must be a California Resident paying in-state tuition.
    *Financial Need Required: Yes
  • Must be full-time at the time of application and at the time of the award.

Required documentation:
*Attach an unofficial copy of your Sacramento State Transcript.
*At least one letter of recommendation from a professor in any discipline, an economics professor, a high school teacher, or someone who can attest to your academic ability.
*A statement, not exceeding one single-spaced page, indicating your interest in your major and your plans for the future.
