Jeffrey Hoover Memorial Scholarship
The Jeffrey Hoover Memorial Scholarship in the School of Music, established by Joy Hoover, loving wife of the late Dr. Jeffrey Hoover. Dr. Jeffrey Hoover served as a lecturer in music at Sacramento State teaching composition and music theory at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to teaching, Dr. Hoover played clarinet and saxophone, composed music and was an artist. One unique aspect of Hoove creative output was when he combined his composition with his painting, creating synergetic works that intrigued and captivated audiences and performers alike. This scholarship is intended to support composition students in the School of Music.
