Josephine Van Ess Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to support graduate students in the sciences who have a particular interest in botany, plant biological conservation, or plant cellular biology.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible to receive this scholarship:

  • Have a particular interest in botany, plant biological conservation or plant cellular biology
  • Major: Biological Sciences
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0 GPA
  • Class Level: Graduate: Classified
  • Financial Need: No
  • Enrollment: At least half-time at time of award and at time of application

Additional Criteria:

  • Have a particular interest in botany, plant biological conservation or plant cellular biology
  • Submit a statement of research interests
  • Letter of reference from faculty member who can comment on your research potential
