Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation Native American Studies Scholarship

Scholarship is open to any major. Students must have one or more of the following:

• Concentration or Minor in Native American Studies
• At least one course in Native American Studies from Sacramento State successfully completed the previous semester to the scholarship application
• At least one course in Native American Studies from Sacramento State in the process of being taken in the semester of the scholarship application

Open to:

• Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, Classified Graduates, and 2nd Bachelor’s Degree

Enrollment Requirements:

• At least nine (9) units for undergraduate and six (6) units for graduate-level students at the time of the award and at the time of the application.

Submit a 500-to-600-word essay on a topic of California Native American Studies: Discuss ways California Native Nations exercise their sovereignty. Provide specific examples and how it supports cultural revitalization.
