James B. Creel Humanitarian Award
The James B. Creel Humanitarian Award honors the memory of James B. Creel. This scholarship assists bright, socially committed youth who demonstrate humanitarian values, independent thought, and ethical behavior, and who plan to enter a field of public service.
Open to undergraduate students
- applicants must be enrolled full time at time of application;
- Any major in Humanities or Social Sciences,
- have a minimum 2.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.
- Applicants are to submit a statement, three paragraph minimum, inclusive of your goals for the future in relation to the purpose of this scholarship.
- At least one letter of recommendation from a professor, teacher, or counselor
- Must have attended a high school in the greater Sacramento region (inclusive of six county regions: El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties)
