President Alexander and Gloria Gonzalez Public Service and Community Leadership Scholarship*

The President Alexander and Gloria Gonzalez Public Service and Community Leadership Scholarship is intended to award students who demonstrate dedication to the community by actively improving community well-being, addressing educational or social issues and by his or her pursuit of a career path that will focus on improving California for the benefit of its residents. Open to all majors; applicants must be a junior or senior; have a minimum 3.5 overall GPA and be enrolled full time at time of award. Applicants must submit no more than two page essay describing their civic service, community service, accomplishments and career aspirations. Applicants must also submit letter of recommendation from a member of the community regarding applicant’s service to the community and/or letter of recommendation from a faculty, administration or staff member regarding applicant’s service to the Sacramento State community.
