Mata (Mother) Kartar Kaur Sangha-Shergil Memorial Scholarship

The Mata (Mother) Kartar Kaur Sangha-Shergil Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of Kartar Kaur Sangha-Shergill, Hardev Shergill’s mother, who championed her children’s education, even as her education was limited to primary school. Preference will be given to students participating in one or more university-wide programs: Guardian Scholars, Parent and Families, Dreamer Resource Center, and CAMP. Students must complete a personal statement, not to exceed 250 words, describing their experience in a single-parent household and/or their experience as a refugee or immigrant to the United States.
