Wade R. Smith Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship is in honor of Wade R. Smith, who was a professor in the Department of Political Science at Sacramento State. This scholarship is intended to support students in the College of Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Studies.

• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Must be enrolled at least half-time
• Class level must be Sophomore or Junior
• Major in Political Science/ Government
• Applicants must submit an original paper (including those submitted for a course at
  Sacramento State) demonstrating critical thinking skills by evaluating all sides of a
  current event or issue and explaining their personal position.
