Harold and Linda Murai Racial/Social Justice and Access Teaching Credential Scholarship

This scholarship honors Harold and Linda Murai and is intended to support students in the College of Education at Sacramento State who are pursuing a California elementary or secondary teaching credential with a Bilingual (either Spanish or Hmong) Authorization and with the expressed goal of working in an urban or rural Title I school, with students from low-income and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible to receive this scholarship:
- no minimum GPA requirement;
- limited to students accepted or enrolled in the teaching credential program with the Bilingual Authorization in either Spanish or Hmong;
- financial need may be considered but is not required;
- must be enrolled full time at time of award and at time of application
