Theresa Mary McCourt Memorial Endowed English Scholarship

This Scholarship was created in honor of Ms.Theresa Mary McCourt an accomplished writer, teacher, businesswoman, athlete, gardener, wife, mother, and friend. She graduated with her Master’s in English from Sacramento State in 1989.

Open to students who meet the following requirements:

• Minimum GPA: 2.0 overall GPA (Good Academic Standing)
• Majors: English (preferred interest in poetry and creative writing)
• Class Level: Graduate: Classified Graduates
• Financial Need Required: maybe considered
• Enrollment Requirements: Enrolled. no minimum requirement at time of award and at time of application

Note: The student must submit a short statement (1-2 paragraphs) on “What does writing mean to you?”
