Theresa Mary McCourt Memorial Endowed English Scholarship

This Scholarship was created in honor of Ms. Theresa Mary McCourt, an accomplished writer, teacher, businesswoman, athlete, gardener, wife, mother, and friend. She graduated with her Master’s in English from Sacramento State in 1989.

*Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible to receive this scholarship: *

• Have a 2.0 overall GPA (Good Academic Standing)
• Major in English (preferred interest in poetry and creative writing)
• Be a Classified graduate
• Be enrolled
  Note: The student must submit a short statement (1-2 paragraphs) on “What does writing mean to you?”
