Physics Teacher Preparation

The purpose of this award is to help students preparing to become science teachers through the Teacher Preparation Concentration (TPC) within the Department of Physics and Astronomy.

To apply for this scholarship you must…

  • Have a minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Have Junior, Senior class standing OR be a Graduate Student in the Credential program.
  • Be enrolled in at least 12 units at time of award.
  • Submit most current college transcripts and a biography (1-3 pages in length) stating the following: Applicant’s interest in career in teaching physics, applicant’s future plans, why the applicant is applying for the scholarship, and what special qualifications, if any, the applicant has for a teaching career.
