Renaissance Society Scholarship*

The Renaissance Society is an organization affiliated with Sacramento State that promotes lifelong learning and community engagement. A requirement for this scholarship is to provide information on how the applicants will use their field of study to benefit mature adults. This information is essential to the selection and is heavily scored in the evaluation process.

This scholarship is open to all majors.

Applicants must:

• Be enrolled full-time at the time of award and at the time of application
• Be a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student
• Have a minimum 3.0 overall GPA
• Financial need is required.

1. Applicant must complete a personal statement (maximum 300 words) related to influences or experiences that demonstrate your commitment and perseverance to earn a college degree at Sacramento State.
2. Applicants must complete a personal statement (maximum 300 words) describing how they will use their field of study to benefit older adults.
