Josephine Van Ess Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to support graduate students in the sciences who have a particular interest in botany, plant biological conservation, or plant cellular biology.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible to receive this scholarship:

  • Major: Biological Sciences
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0 overall GPA
  • Class Level: Graduate: Classified
  • Financial Need: No
  • Enrollment: be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units in the semester in which the award is used
  • Other: Submit one letter of support from a faculty member who can comment on your research potential
