President Alexander and Gloria Gonzalez Public Service and Community Leadership Scholarship*

The President Alexander and Gloria Gonzalez Public Service and Community Leadership Scholarship is intended to award students who demonstrate dedication to the community by actively improving community well-being, addressing educational or social issues and by his or her pursuit of a career path that will focus on improving California for the benefit of its residents.

  • Open to all majors
  • Applicants must be a junior or senior;
  • Applicants must have a minimum 3.5 overall GPA
  • Applicants must be enrolled full time at time of award.
  • Applicants must describe their civic and community service experiences, leadership involvement, notable accomplishments, and career aspirations.
  • Applicants must also submit letter of recommendation from a member of the community regarding applicant’s service to the community and/or letter of recommendation from a faculty, administration or staff member regarding applicant’s service to the Sacramento State community.
