Sacramento State Hornet Commons Housing Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to provide ten (10) beds per year to underrepresented and economically disadvantaged students.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible to receive this scholarship:

• Major: All expressed and declared majors
• Minimum GPA: Student must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
• Class Level: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, Senior, Classified Graduate
• Financial Need: Financial need is required
• Enrollment: At least half-time enrollment at time of award and at time of application

  Applicant Must submit the following:
  • Applicant must have intent to live in the Hornet Commons on campus
  • This scholarship is awarded for a student’s housing payment at Hornet Commons. As such the student agrees to and understands that payment will be made to Hornet Commons, on behalf of selected recipients
  • Must have a Financial Aid application on file for the current year. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA)
  • Student recipient(s) are eligible to reapply for the scholarship award. The student’s application will be considered by the scholarship committee as a part of the entire applicant pool
