Marian Wright Edelman Scholarship

The Marian Wright Edelman Scholarship provides scholarships to students with the intent to honor the work and values of Marian Wright Edelmen by providing financial assistance to child development students at Sacramento State who are the first in their family to attend college.

Applicants must meet the following criteria to be eligible to receive this scholarship:
• minimum 3.0 overall GPA;
• limited to students who are majoring in Child Development in one of the two undergraduate non-teaching concentrations (Social and Community Settings or Individualized Program) and to graduate majors in the Applied Setting Track;
• preference given to students who are the first in the family to attend college;
• financial need is required;
• must be enrolled at least half time at time of award
